Bi-annually The Strand Center produced exhibitions focused on presenting the talents of its members; the Holiday and Summer Members Shows. Members at any artistic level, from hobbyist to professional, were invited to submit works for these “Members Only” exhibitions.

 The diverse array of art featured in the Holiday Members Show included painting, drawing, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, stained glass, bead weaving, printmaking, mixed media and woodwork. A majority of these artworks were available for purchase and could be picked up before the end of the show for holiday gift giving.

 Gallery Director David Monette stated, “For the Summer Member show, we had an incredible turnout, both in the quality of artwork submitted and in the amount of people attending the opening, and I’m expecting even more for this event. The Members Shows are great, it’s when artists come out and surprise us with their diverse concentrations of skill.”
