Lisa Aubin Neighbors Exhibition 2019

·         March 1st - March 29th, 2019

The Strand Center for the Arts was excited to host “Neighbors,” photographs created by photographer, Lisa Aubin, in the Main Gallery.

“Neighbors” was an exhibition of photographs by Lisa Aubin, a photographer who grew up in the North Country. Her passion for taking pictures began when she was in her teens and has continued to grow and develop over time. She particularly enjoys photographing people because of the connections she makes with her subjects and their stories. At the time, her work could also be seen at Valcour Brewing Company and Eagle Aviation Services.

Concerning her show, Aubin stated: “My inspiration for this show came from living among the orchards and farms of the Peru area and the beauty of the North Country. In my daily travels I often see the ‘people behind the product’ working hard to bring us fresh produce. I felt I wanted to pay tribute to those people, be they owners or employees from near and far. I have a deep respect for their work and dedication; from the generations that have carried on family traditions to those who bring new and innovative ideas to the table. I hope to portray that respect and highlight some of those people and the amazing products we are blessed enough to enjoy every day.”
