Open Studio Groups
The Strand Center for the Arts is home to five Open Studio groups. Each of these groups meet at the Strand Center on a regular basis. Newcomers are always welcome!
LIFE DRAWING GROUP (Ages 18+)
Mondays ongoing: 5:30pm-7:30pm; Saturdays ongoing: 10:30am-12:30pm

Location: Strand Center Visual Arts Studio
Open Studio Format - No Instruction
Artists are invited to enjoy the experience of drawing from a live model in community with other artists. All levels of drawing skill welcomed.
Price: $10 Non-Members/$5 Members & Students
OPEN PORTRAIT STUDIO (Ages 18+)
Thursdays ongoing: 10:30am-12:30pm (Currently on break. Resumes in Spring 2018.)

Here’s your chance to work from a live model in the medium of your choice in a friendly, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere. There are 2 consecutive weekly session with each model in the same pose. Instruction available upon request.

OPEN WATERCOLOR GROUP (Ages 18+)
Wednesdays ongoing: 10:30am-1:00pm

Practice your watercolor techniques in these supportive group sessions. Learn from each other as you work on your own projects.
$50 annual cost as a core member; $5 per drop in session
STILL LIFE OPEN STUDIO (Ages 18+)
Thursdays ongoing: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Coordinator: Roy Brinker
Join this supportive group setting and take advantage of the skills of others as you work on individual projects. Session begins with drawing exercises and then free drawing for the rest of the session. Roy is available to provide guidance for specific goals.
$10 per session
